Laurier
Macdonald along with the Leonardo Da Vinci Centre and the Plaza Holiday Inn are
organizing the 3rd annual Huggies Valentine’s Dinner Dance for the Montreal
Neurological Institute. Our special guests this year are Lori Graham
from CTV Montreal as well as a family from the Montreal Children’s
Hospital. This is a project that has expanded from the original Huggies
Valentine’s Day project. This will be the 7th year in which we will
be participating in this campaign. Over the past 6 years, Rocco Speranza,
Spiritual Community Animator, and Vince Lacroce, Spiritual Community Animator,
along with 12 EMSB schools have come together on Valentine’s Day to visit the
patients of the Montreal Children’s Hospital with gift baskets, new toys,
coloring books, magazines and Valentine’s Day cards. Over the past 6 years, our
combined efforts have raised over $50,000 for the hospital.
To mark the 7th anniversary of
our fantastic effort with the Montreal Children’s Hospital, the Huggies Valentine’s day
team from Laurier Macdonald has joined forces with La Plaza Reception Hall and
the Leonardo Da Vinci Centre to create “The Huggies Valentine’s
Dinner” on Saturday February 7th. All
proceeds from this event will be benefiting the Montreal Children’s
Foundation. Our goal this year is to raise money for Cardiology and Brain
Tumour Awareness in honour of Sabrina Di Giandomenico,
former EMSB student and brain tumor patient who passed away at the Montreal
Children’s Hospital. Over the past 2 years, “The Huggies Valentine’s
Dinner” has raised
over $8,000 for the
Montreal Children’s Foundation.This year’s entertainment at The Huggies Valentine’s
Dinner will be Midnight Express. Supports of this great cause will also be
eligible to win great prizes and participate in a silent auction for sports
memorabilia. For ticket information please contact Carmen Amendola-Prioletta,
head secretary at LaurierMacdonaldHigh School, or Vince Lacroce, Spiritual Community Animator at 514.374.6000 or
