Youth 4 Youth is a community participation program initiated by Laurier Macdonald High School through its Spiritual Animation Department in conjunction with our Student Leadership Program and our mission as an International Baccalaureate World School.  One of the major objectives of the Program is to enhance our students’ understanding of the responsibility we hold to others in need.

 

Four major groups benefit from our fund-raising efforts: Cystic Fibrosis Society, The Montreal Neurological Institute, Juvenile Diabetes Society and finally The Montreal Children’s Hospital.

 

Our primary means of raising monies for the Montreal Children’s is our Huggies Project. Students organize and participate in major school level fund raising activities such as candigrams, bake sales, health for heart sportsactivities, and improv events.  The Huggies Banquet allows for the participation of our extended community.  Fabulous food and lively entertainment provide a wonderful venue for this worthwhile cause.  We are proud to boast that over the past 7 years, the Huggies project has been able to raise over $60,000 for books, toys and games for the patients’ of the Montreal Children’s.
